Ibani carefully lets them drop down to the table. "Let's."
Ash has given up on convincing the squirrel to come down from the tree via barking, so he wanders over to see what the humans are doing. Ibani absentmindedly scratches his ears. "Good boy, Ash," she tells him.
Back at the plane, Ibani eyes the wire and the spot that needs to be repaired. She's PRETTY sure it's a match, but she trusts Cassian's experience more.
"Exactly," Ibani agrees. She'll help Cassian with the repair, if she can.
"Still amazes me that machines like this can fly," she adds. "It seems like we must have used something like this once where I'm from, but it was so very long ago that there are no records. Technology has been mostly steady for so many thousands of years that it's hardly changed at all.
"Living things, even some crystals, have a kind of awareness. And living things leave impressions on objects in the Force, especially when they're experiencing strong emotions. Maybe we give them souls, when we live with them. Can't tell with the Force, if it's true."
"I can see how they could be. Sometimes you can go someplace and know its seen hard times. People here would call that ghosts," He nods as he gives the plane a final doublecheck, "Now she should be fine. Let's see about finding you some winter clothes."
"Not everyone on Earth believes in ghosts, some people do more than others. I think he will be," Then he heads back into his supply area to search through his collection of winter clothes to see what might fit her.
"Makes sense. Some people were pretty skeptical even of the Force, where I was born."
Ibani follows Cassian back to the supply area. "Pretty sure I'd be falling out of these," she says, holding up a pair of boots that are sized for someone like Cassian.
"Yes and they're good quality. Let's see what else we can find," His collection from thrift stores and times when he was working with expeditions that left supplies behind.
Ibani is used to stripping gear off of corpses, generally corpses that she created, so this is a vast improvement!
Ibani goes through supplies, until she finds a pair of pants in a particularly fluorescent shade of orange. She holds them up to Cassian with an expression that says 'Why would anyone wear these, ever?'.
"To make you easier to spot in the snow if you're lost and sometimes fashion." Cassian's done his share of stripping corpses but he doesn't like doing it.

"Force users, we get feelings, hunches, about things. That's how the Force can act as a guide."
"Some Force users actually have prophetic visions or dreams. I haven't had those, don't think I'd want them, from what I've read."

There will undoubtedly be more things in need of fixing, but best to do it here and now on the ground at home!
"Are there stories on Earth about aircraft, ships, having a kind of soul?"

For good or for ill.
There are a few more minor things to check with the plane, but other than what Ibani found there's nothing major.

This version of Ibani will never have the dubious 'pleasure' of meeting her Force Ghost ancestor!
Ibani gives the plane a final pat. "Be good while we're gone, Ash."

She tries on the boots, to see if her prediction is correct.
Ash sticks his nose in the pair of boots Ibani first picked up, sniffing curiously.

"Oooh, I like this one." It's dark blue and almost quilted looking! She tries it on and it does indeed fit! Hooray!
